“What an amazing find!”

20 Cove Road in Halls Harbour is a fantastic property that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an east coast vacation.  It’s been beautifully renovated throughout and includes all the modern features you would look for – lots of outlets in every room, great wifi, washer/dryer and super comfy beds with top quality bedding just to name a few.  My daughter was particularly thrilled to discover the built-in Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom!  The view of the water is fantastic and the sunsets are out of this world. There are so many sights to see in and around the Annapolis Valley area that it will take another trip at least to see them all.  Whether you are a couple or a family of six, whether you are are looking to do a lot of sight seeing or if your plan is to just kick back and relax, this is the place!

I was lucky enough to see her post last spring and stayed there in July, it’s absolutely as lovely as the pics. Halls Harbour is amazing and there is SO MUCH to do and see in the area! The whale watching was spectacular...we used the tour she recommended and it was a magical experience. 💕🐋💕 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Melissa to anyone looking to head out east!I was lucky enough to see her post last spring and stayed there in July, it’s absolutely as lovely as the pics. We had a fantastic time

Melissa’s home had everything we need. It's a great place to decompress and just relax. Melissa was great providing us all the details prior to us arriving and was quick to respond to any questions. The home is combination of modern and rustic. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook fantastic meals with a large kitchen table. We enjoyed our mornings on the deck and evenings on the beach with a fire. Beautiful sunsets during our stay. If you like sea food, local restaurant was great. You’re only short drive to Kentville for supplies. If you like hiking you are not far from Cape Split. We will be back again for sure. Cheers.

The house is impeccable! What a beautiful space in a gorgeous setting. The bed was so comfortable and I slept like a baby. Everything I needed was right here, all the details were covered. Wow, all the little things (speaker in the bathroom!?) added to my enjoyment. I can’t wait to come back and share this beauty with my family. Thank you so much.

My family was fortunate to make The Hideaway our home for two months in the late fall. While outside of the traditional “season,” we enjoyed exploring the quiet beach and watching the tides, often the only folks around. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming.

The view out over the water proved magical. Logically, I know that I was looking out onto the same bay, across to the same cliffs, but somehow the view seemed different every day. Honestly, you need to see it to believe it. As expected, sunsets were beautiful. However, when the sun rose, it would shine on the red cliffs across the bay, and they’d almost glow.

While not large, the house itself was just the right fit for our family of 5. My children, ages 12 and 8 made no complaints about the WiFi, which has been a struggle at other rentals in NS. My 2 year old enjoyed pushing his trucks in the open kitchen/dining area, watching the waves and the bald eagles from the living room window, and playing ball in the yard.

My first impression of the home was that it was too beautiful for my family! Every detail has been considered. Artistic, yet functional, and yet extremely comfortable. Those beds! The mattresses and pillows were fabulous and I appreciated the down comforters.

There were some space limitations in the kitchen, but this was only because we were staying for such a long period of time. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make and eat nearly every meal at home.

All the shopping and amenities we needed were within a 25 minute drive. We enjoyed Footes Market and the Canning Village Meat Market. My older kids were able to catch a movie in New Minus and my youngest enjoyed a few trips to the Cotton Tale Cafe (indoor play with great food). We were able to find quite a few opportunities to explore outdoors, within a 30-40 minute drive.

The owners were helpful and quick to respond to questions. We would absolutely stay at this house again.
